Skipper - Offshore Trap Fishing

Job description

We have a position for a skipper to operate the Alcyone II.

Primarily in the Pilbara fishery but with some Kimberley Operations. Position is flexible 2 on/2 off working with another skipper to keep the vessel constantly operating. Position is fly in/fly out from Perth.

Minimum Qualification:
Master V/MED II

Skills and Requirements:
Must have at least 5 years relevant experience.
Successful applicant should have the ability to work within a multicultural team, have strong fishing and engineering skills and be able to manage all aspects of safely operating a modern, well set up and maintained vessel in an isolated offshore fishing environment and have a commitment to understanding fish quality.

Pot fishing history would be well regarded.

Other requirements are ability to obtain MISC card, drivers licence, forklift licence and Australian work right.

Skippers with limited experience from a strong pot fishing background may be considered and should feel free to apply.
